Welcome to the Fraser Valley Model Club, Abbotsford’s IPMS Chapter. We are a group of Model Builders who enjoy subjects ranging from Aircraft to Armor, Ships to Science Fiction, Automotive to real subject scale modeling. Anything that has been built in miniature, we love to see and hear about it. We are all passionate about the hobby, and the historical significance that the subjects are built around.

            The Club Executives - all model builders first and foremost - are committed to helping members learn and gather knowledge from all across the modeling world. We want the member to learn something new and fascinating about the modeling hobby. It may be from historical lectures given by guest speakers, presentations on modeling skills of every genre, or a new found passion for a particular subject. It’s the urge to grow in our hobby that brought you to us, we want to feed that urge and increase it. A quick stroll through our member gallery will show you that we have a diverse membership with modeling tastes and skill levels from a wide range of subjects. We have some very talented members that are there to pass on their knowledge, learn more about all subjects, and also to make lasting friendships with their fellow hobbyists.

            We'd love it if you joined us at our next club meeting. It’s always guaranteed fun. Bringing a model is not mandatory, but we sure want to see them whether it’s finished or not. Tell us how you did a certain part, or come to find out how a particular technique is done. Most importantly, we want to see you!

            Modeling is often a hobby of isolation. However, it is also one of interaction. This can take the form of magazines, books, or the folks over the counter at the hobby shops. The club takes it one step further, bringing together modelers for a common goal – to build. We are here to encourage and enrich your hobby. If you have a suggestion of what you would like to see, ask us. If you want to share some ideas, the floor will be yours. Let us know. The Fraser Valley Model Club is about helping all of our members grow as modelers.
